SENIOR REVENUE ACCOUNTANT JOB DESCRIPTION

This Senior Revenue Accountant role is a newly created position and the selected individual is being added to the Accounting and Finance team as the company is experiencing rapid growth. This person will collaborate with the Finance team on all activities relating to the revenue stream. They will also embrace technical innovation and effectively present revenue data to senior stakeholders. Maintaining accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, cost of sales accruals, and month-end close reporting processes is a key part of the position as well. You are intellectually curious, a problem solver, an optimist and an open communicator who thrives in a cross-functional organization.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SENIOR REVENUE ACCOUNTANT

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of and experience in preparing financial statements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively when building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a matrixed environment.
  • Prior experience in M&A
  • Excellent and highly proficient in MS Excel.
  • Experience utilizing finance/accounting software
  • Exhibits good listening and comprehension, excellent cognitive and analytical thinking
  • Desire for continuous career growth and responsibility

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR SENIOR REVENUE ACCOUNTANT (PLUSES, BUT NOT REQUIRED)

  • Experience within public accounting
  • Experience with technical accounting research/implementing new accounting standards
  • Previous experience in a fast-growing environment
  • CPA licensed or eligible
  • Interest and experience in technical accounting research
