Action Overhead Garage Door, a family-owned and operated business since 1980, seeks a Service Technician to join our team. This role involves installing residential and commercial garage doors, door openers, and keyless entry systems in both new and existing buildings.

We offer a starting hourly rate of $20-$28 (depending on experience) and a great benefits package.

Requirements:

Essential Functions:

Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.

Maintain clean and safe job sites.

Prepare materials with warehouse staff.

Coordinate with the Service Coordinator for scheduling.

Understand product manuals before installation.

Review work orders for accuracy.

Ensure the truck is ready for daily operations.

Record installation details on work orders.

Promote a positive company image.

Participate in safety programs.

Comply with all policies and procedures.

Learn new products and follow managerial directions.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED

Strong work ethic and customer service skills

Clean driving record and ability to pass drug screening and background check.

Mechanical skills with hand and power tools.

Ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Proficient in English

Work Conditions:

Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Travel around the Metro Area, including the Twin Cities.

Use standard installation tools.

Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and heavy traffic conditions.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands.

Lifting and moving up to 80 pounds regularly.
