We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Solutions Architect for a full-time position. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing and managing the server virtualization infrastructure. The role will involve managing both on-premises and cloud-based platforms (e.g., VMware, Nutanix, Harvester, OpenShift, Proxmox, AWS, Azure, GCP) and developing automation solutions for optimized performance. The Architect will also serve as a subject matter expert (SME), lead virtualization efforts, and ensure the efficient operation of virtual infrastructure through proactive performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning. Key Responsibilities: Virtualization Architecture & Design: Architect and design server virtualization solutions, including virtual data centers, servers, and desktops. Systems Administration: Perform systems administration for Windows Server and UNIX/Linux systems such as RHEL and SLES. Automation: Develop automation through scripting and APIs using tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, PowerShell, Python, Bash, and Terraform. Certificate Management: Perform certificate lifecycle management for systems and applications. Resource Optimization: Evaluate inefficiencies with server resources and make right-sizing recommendations. Platform Management: Manage and maintain server virtualization platforms on both on-premises and cloud environments (e.g., VMware, Nutanix, Harvester, OpenShift, Proxmox, AWS, Azure, GCP). SME Role: Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for server virtualization solutions, guiding best practices and solution design. Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance to ensure high availability and operational efficiency. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to network, storage, and performance within the virtual environment. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of the virtual environment, including configurations, procedures, and performance data. Capacity Planning: Analyze current usage and forecast future capacity needs to ensure scalability. Security: Implement security measures, including patches and updates, to ensure the integrity of the virtual infrastructure. Required Certifications: VMware (VCP), Nutanix (NCP), or similar server virtualization certifications preferred. Required Experience: 5-7 years of experience in supporting server virtualization technologies, with strong expertise in VMware, Nutanix, and cloud platforms. Experience with automation scripting using Ansible, PowerShell, Python, and Terraform. Hands-on experience managing server virtualization platforms both on-premises and in the cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills. Educational Requirements: A degree from an accredited college/university in a relevant field is preferred.
