Asphalt Plant Manager

One of the Southeast's leading heavy highway general contractors is seeking an experienced and dedicated Asphalt Plant Manager to join our team. This is a highly respected company with a long history of excellence in civil construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all operations of the asphalt plant to ensure a safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant production of high-quality asphalt.

Relocation to Mississippi required.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Operational Management: Manage all aspects of the asphalt production process, including planning, coordination, and supervision of plant activities.
  • Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of plant equipment, scheduling regular inspections, and coordinating repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Staff Supervision: Lead and mentor plant staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Inventory Management: Manage raw material inventory levels, ensuring timely ordering and efficient use of resources.
  • Environmental Compliance: Ensure the plant meets all environmental regulations, including the management of emissions and waste.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.

Qualifications:


  • Education: High school education or GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in asphalt plant operations, with at least 1 years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of asphalt production processes, equipment, and quality control standards.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
