Mississippi State University-Meridian (MSU-M) is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Clinic Director at our soon-to-be-launched Mental and Behavioral Health Clinic in Meridian, Mississippi.

The MSU-M Mental and Behavioral Health Clinic is being established to expand access to mental and behavioral healthcare services in the Meridian area. This clinic will also serve as a vital training ground for current MSU students while providing essential community services. Insurance, medicaid, and medicare will be accepted.

Position Overview:

The Clinic Director will report directly to the Head of the Division of Education and will serve as the lead representative for mental and behavioral health services within the Division at the MSU-Meridian campus. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the provision of services to the city of Meridian and surrounding counties, including individual and group therapy, prevention and educational programs, workshops, and crisis management.
  • Recruiting and supervising clinical and support staff in collaboration with the Division Head of Education.
  • Promoting collaboration and consultation with MSU-Meridian faculty and staff.
  • Pursuing additional funding and external support.
  • Providing direct clinical services and engaging in teaching responsibilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee clinic operations and staff supervision.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the clinic.

  • Support the clinic s accreditation process and student training.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate Degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology or related field.
  • Mississippi psychologist licensure (or ability to obtain within three months). Must have passed EPPP.
  • At least three years in leadership roles within a mental health setting.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
