Koniag IT Systems, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an ESRI GIS Developer with an active Secret clearance to support KITS and our government customer in Stennis, Mississippi. We are seeking a talented and motivated ESRI GIS Developer to join our team in supporting a Navy client at Stennis Space Center. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in JavaScript and Python programming, along with a growing expertise in ESRI development. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge geospatial projects and contribute to mission-critical applications for the U.S. Navy. Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: Develop, maintain, and enhance GIS applications using ESRI technologies Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in JavaScript and Python Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement geospatial solutions Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in existing GIS applications Stay current with the latest ESRI technologies and best practices Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of development processes Provide technical support and guidance to end-users as needed Preferred Qualifications: Experience with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) Knowledge of database systems and SQL Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) Experience working in an Agile development environment Prior experience working with government or military clients Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, GIS, or a related field Minimum of 1 year of experience in software development Proficiency in JavaScript and Python programming languages Familiarity with ESRI development tools and technologies (e.g., ArcGIS API for JavaScript, ArcPy) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance This position offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and the opportunity to work on impactful projects in a collaborative environment.
