KDS Job ID Koniag Data Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior SysOps Engineer with Secret clearance to support KDS and our government customer in Stennis Space Center, MS. The Senior Systems Operations Engineer will advance the capabilities of the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) and Commander, Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command (CNMOC) by performing configuration, deployment, maintenance, patching, and security tasks and documentation for geospatial software and cloud-based enterprise technologies. NAVOCEANO and CNMOC are located at NASA's Stennis Space Center, and all tasking is performed on-site. Job Duties: Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity. Perform root cause analysis for system defects and implement fixes. Configure, deploy, and maintain Linux and cloud-based servers. Implement and ensure compliance with DoD security protocols. Manage cloud resource provisioning, monitoring, and scaling. Write and review test plans and recovery plans. Work closely with a team of engineers to support and improve infrastructure. Document system configurations, procedures, and processes. Required Experience: Active SECRET Clearance with T5 investigation B.S. in Computer Science or related IT degree IAT/IAM II certification (such as Security+) Experience with Amazon Web Services, Cloud Technologies, Cloud DevSecOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), and Infrastructure as Code Experience with Linux operating systems and system administration Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), cybersecurity, DISA STIGs, and vulnerability management Experience with managing operational availability of cloud-based software systems and services Experience with Agile project management Working Environment & Conditions This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
