We take care of our team members from multiple facets including health, financial, and well-being programs: Robust health plan including medical, dental, and vision Health Savings Account with company contribution Annual Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Paid Parental Leave 401k with generous company match Training and Development Opportunities Award Programs Variety of Company Sponsored Events Requires an active TS/SCI Security Clearance Position Summary: We are looking for a Junior-level Custom Media Production Specialist that has experience assisting customers in determining the best and most viable data/product combinations to meet their remote data or data sharing needs and to provide that NGA GEOINT content on the necessary/best optical media type(s) (CD/DVD/Blu-ray or external hard drives) for customers and/or partners world-wide. These positions provide direct support to customers through the electronic transfer and delivery of Foundation GEOINT content on various media forms. They shall participate in the full life-cycle of each order from initial customer contact, through shipment and confirmation of delivery receipt. The Custom Media Production Specialist will support a team in Arnold, Missouri. Responsibilities: Hard drives with custom Foundation GEOINT or NCL imagery in accordance with customer requested timeline, or Agency Mission Essential Task List (AMETL) requirement of 30 days from receipt.
Weekly metrics reports for Custom Media orders shipped and received.
Fulfill Digital Vertical Obstruction File (DVOF) recurring orders in accordance with 28-day Aeronautical Information Regulation and Control (AIRAC) cycle.
Monthly updates to standard gold-copy hard drives o Weekly or bi-weekly updates to crisis data gold-copy hard drives as dictated by Government point of contact (GPOC). (Only during times of an active crisis).
Annual review of all program-related SOPs and work instructions, as well as ad-hoc reviews in the event of any substantial change to processes/procedures.
Custom tools/scripts to allow for the retrieval of Foundation GEOINT content from the NGA Gateway and/or future cloud-based or on-prem repositories.
Updates/fixes to existing tools and code as required to support Custom Media production. Required Qualifications: Requires TS/SCI Clearance
3+ years of relevant experience (A combination of years of experience & professional certifications/trainings can be used in conjunction with a degree)
Experience in acquiring, replicating, and disseminating large data sets on removeable media and archiving, and troubleshooting those data on those media.
Familiarity with conducting media transfers.
Knowledge and understanding of at least two of the following geospatial/geographic/cartographic products and data types:
Maps and Charts - e.g. Commercial, US Geological Survey (USGS), and/or nautical and aeronautical charts
Elevation data- e.g. Synthetic Aperture Radar and topographic and stereoscopic
Imagery products- e.g. Controlled Imagery, Commercial Orthorectified Imagery
Vector data - e.g. TDS, MGCP, FFD, and/or Harborview
Vertical Obstruction data sets.
Knowledge of satellite imagery systems (Commercial) and related information libraries.
Knowledge of the geospatial software systems (i.e. FalconView, Global Mapper, ArcGIS, ArcPRO), and their data.
Demonstrated Customer Service and cross-organizational collaboration
Proficiency with MS Office tools (versions 2019 and younger), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of DoD/IC/NGA GEOINT products and data to include but not limited to:
Maps and Charts - e.g. Compressed ARC Digitized Raster Graphics (CADRG), Electronic Compressed Raster Graphic (ECRG), Print on Demand, US Geological Survey (USGS), and/or Digital Image City Map (DICM)
Elevation data- e.g. Digital Terrain Elevation Data (DTED), Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission (SRTM), HRTe, DGED, and/or TanDEM-X
Imagery products- e.g. Controlled Image Base (CIB), Commercial Orthorectified Imagery, and/or Digital Point Positioning Data Base (DPPDB)
Vector data - e.g. TDS, MGCP, FFD, and/or Harborview
Vertical Obstruction data sets.
Knowledge of satellite imagery systems (National Technical Means) and related NGA information libraries.
Understanding of Custom Media Services, NSG Consolidated Library (NCL), NGA's Gateway, NGA/Source and all operations centers, service centers, and business processes in NGA.
Knowledge of the proper data types for use in GEOINT software and services (i.e. FalconView, Global Mapper, ArcGIS, ArcPRO, GDP, Raster Roam, GVS, Map of the World (MoW), GRiD) to ensure customers' data requests match the receiving tools.
Knowledge of Custom Media Generation System (CMGS) and Custom Media NCL Services functions as they pertain to data dissemination processes.
Experience in connecting web applications to databases, database administration and database systems (i.e. CMGS Website, HTML, Access, Excel, MoW, Oracle)
Practical hands-on experience with UNIX operating systems, Redhat LINUX preferred
Familiarity with NGA's mission partners, military services, COCOMs, and Intelligence Community, and an understanding of how these groups use NGA Foundation GEOINT in support of training and real-world scenarios.
Experience using, or working with elements of DoD that use, NGA Foundation products and data.
Demonstrated experience with process improvement techniques.
Experience following, writing and maintaining Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), Concepts of Operation (CONOPS), and other process documents
Understanding of collaboration/social software tools employed by NGA (i.e. SharePoint, IC Connect, Cisco Jabber).
Understanding of NGA's mission and business processes in order to help users solve their problemsEEO Statement
