Duties ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Note: Incumbent is subject to an automatic mission hold for 36 months, must complete hands-on learning and obtain required security clearances. Incumbent must also be able to deploy on quick notice once all qualifications are acquired to meet mission need. Deployment is expected as part of this position and may be routine. The incumbent must maintain a deployer medical clearance for all COCOM's. The NGA Office of Expeditionary Operations (IX) Senior Intelligence Analyst (SIA) will have a background and training in imagery analysis (IA) and geospatial analysis (GA) but must also be familiar with all source intelligence collection and analysis, be an expert at intelligence preparation of the battle space planning and be experienced in planning and conducting analysis in support of operations. The SIA must have significant experience in leadership and intelligence analysis beyond imagery analysis or geospatial analysis alone. All candidates must be able to understand and lead a team capable of the full spectrum of intelligence discipline focused on GEOINT. This position will require regular interaction and support to with J2, J3, and J5 activities across the Department of Defense (DoD) and Combatant Commands (COCOMS). Candidates must have experience managing personnel in a deployed environment supporting operational forces. Successful candidates must understand and have experience supporting both traditional military operations and Special Operations Command (SOCOM) activities. The analyst will be familiar with non-traditional sources of information/data that enable Activities Based Intelligence (ABI). The analyst will maintain Expeditionary Operations (IX) training and qualifications for rapid deployment to a forward location potentially into a conflict zone or disaster response and recovery situation. Analysts will maintain deployer medical requirements and qualifications, system access, small arms qualifications, and deployer-specific equipment familiarity. This includes, but is not limited to, NGA, Department of Defense (DoD), and Department of State (DoS) training, as well as continuous tradecraft training. The analyst will be trained on, and maintain, advanced tradecraft skills and knowledge. The individual must be able to work in a multi-national environment while displaying tact, diplomacy, and respect. When deployed or working as part of a reach-back team, working extended hours, weekends, and holidays may be necessary. Responsibilities may also include attending multi-service, multi-national meetings, prioritizing RFIs, and representing NGA and the broader intelligence community, conducting briefings, and conveying status and situation reports to leadership, oftentimes in stressful and mission critical situations. The SIA must be capable of capitalizing on reach-back support and be knowledgeable of NGA's overall analytic and support structure in order to find assistance when needed. The analyst must be prepared to brief and convey situations, statutes, needs, and challenges to NGA staff and leadership. They must be capable of capitalizing on reach-back support and able to leverage their professional network within NGA, the Intelligence Community, the Department of Defense (DoD), Special Operations Command (SOCOM), and other agencies to solve complex problems. You must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. In addition, you are subject to a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination in order to maintain access to Top Secret information. All employees are subject to a periodic examination on a random basis in order to determine continued eligibility. Refusal to take the examination may result in denial of access to Top Secret information, SAP, and/or unescorted access to SCIFs. Employees with SCI access and who are under NGA cognizance are required to submit a Security Financial Disclosure Report, SF-714, on an annual basis in order to determine continued eligibility. Failure to comply may negatively impact continued access to Top Secret information, Information Systems, SAP, and/or unescorted access to SCIFs. NGA utilizes all processes and procedures of the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Non-executive NGA employees are assigned to five distinct pay bands based on the type and scope of work performed. The employee's base salary is established within their assigned pay band based on their unique qualifications. A performance pay process is conducted each year to determine a potential base pay salary increase and/or bonus. An employee's annual performance evaluation is a key factor in the performance pay process. Employees on term or temporary appointments are not eligible to apply for internal assignment opportunity notices. This position is a DCIPS position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1601. Qualifications MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Demonstrated experience with digital cartography, production techniques, remote sensing, or photogrammetry

3. Demonstrated experience providing counterproliferation or counterterrorism analysis covering threat networks for Special Operations or the Intelligence Community
4. Demonstrated experience operating with GIS tools (such as data integration, extraction, and management, ArcGIS, ArcPRO, or other commercial GIS analytic programs) 5. Demonstrated experience of Activity Based Intelligence and extracting data sources using object-oriented programming/scripting language EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Cartography, Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Remote Sensing, Data Analytics, or a related field. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience working in an Intelligence discipline requiring analysis and interpretation of GEOINT data, or related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience working in an Intelligence discipline requiring analysis and interpretation of GEOINT data, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Distinguish principal colors and shades/hues of principal colors; Near visual acuity of 20/20 or better with or without corrective lenses DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1. Demonstrated knowledge of commercial imagery, products, processes, and sensors
2. Experience correlating multiple sources of intelligence to derive entities and associations for target development
3. Experience with GEOINT services and publications to include baseline reports and other GEOINT reporting
4. Demonstrated experience in technical skills, such as computer vision implementation, data mining and analytics data visualization, statistical analysis, algorithm development, or data science
