Job description
Duties Serve as the Chief of the Homeland Defense/Civil Support Office (HD/CSO) Testing Branch in accordance with the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress and Professional Board (IFSAC/Pro-Board) Certification Compliance program. Manage the IFSAC/Pro-Board accreditation, training, and testing program. Serve as the primary training specialist responsible for coordination and validation of IFSAC/Pro-Board certification and testing products. Manage detailed computer-based testing program designed to test, evaluate, and certify a student's knowledge of principles and procedures on various job-related subjects. Ensure testing facilities meet test security requirements and procedures are followed according to the USACBRNS Test Administrative Guidance (TAG). Provide instruction to IFSAC/Pro-Board testing personnel and instructor proctors on IFSAC/Pro-Board compliance and Awareness, Operations, and HAZMAT Technician requirements. Coordinating with MSCoE staff and Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC) in development and validation of testing procedures and test items. Facilitate meetings and collaborates with teams to ensure effective communication in supporting the achievement of objectives in test development with the goal of meeting compliance requirements and maintaining IFSAC/Pro-Board Accreditation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Employee is required to use all safety equipment and clothing provided by management. Position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth. The special physical demands required to perform this position are to be able to lift 50 lbs, walk on varied terrain in varied climates. The incumbent of this position must be able to obtain and maintain a valid motor vehicle operators license. Driving is needed due to the fact that training observations are conducted at the training sites to ensure skills tests are being administered within SOP and regulatory guidelines. The incumbent of this position must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. The employee may be required to work overtime to include weekends and federal holidays as pre-determined by training requirements. Incumbent is subject to a medical clearance examination prior to employment. This position may require an annual physical or medical surveillance examination. Training and Education Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
