We are a small locally owned clinic and service a largely Medicaid population. Though we treat primarily pediatric clients, the hired therapist may also see some adult patients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with the under-served!

Job Summary:

Primary responsibility is to provide quality patient care according to practice standards of American Physical Therapy Association appropriate to age and disability related to functional limitations. To document and perform charge related functions. To be responsible for acting as a representative of profession, Zenith Rehabilitation, and own person in a positive outlook. To market patient care services to community, physicians, and other referral sources. This position will start Part-time but has potential to reach full-time. Caseload will be primarily pediatrics but may occasionally include adults.

Essential Functions:
Perform patient treatments consistent with plan of care. Perform treatments consistent with skill level and within boundaries of profession as outlined by practice act and APTA practice standards.
Perform treatment skills with customer service responsibilities. Document all related information necessary for outline of treatment plan, treatment, ICD-10 and CPT coding, exercise flow sheets, home exercise programs, patient education, physician reporting, discharge summaries.
Provide accurate and timely reporting of charges consistent with documentation to front office personnel or with appropriate service center directly.
Market patient services to community, physicians, and other referral sources. Participate in community related marketing events as scheduled and outlined by Zenith Rehabilitation.
Follows established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patient's care which results in patient harm.
Attends in-service presentations and completes all mandatory education requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Strong interpersonal skills - patient, family, and professional interaction.
Strong communication skills - oral and written including, medical terminology
Strong organizational skills
Strong time management skills- ability to work within timelines.
Competent in medical documentation and coding.
Demonstrates aptitude to work with disabled individuals.
Know and understands age-specific competencies and able to demonstrate age-specific treatments in the clinic.
Shows clinical proficiency in treatments consistent with clinic programs.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE
Graduate of approved Physical Therapy Assistant program by APTA.
Licensure appropriate to governing body of state licensing board.
Current CPR card.
No previous or current sanctions by federal payors (CMS, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Champus/Tricare, etc ) or other payors inclusive of state workers compensation system

Pay: $24.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
