Job description

Mayvin seeks a Senior Budget Analyst to provide expertise on several ongoing projects within the Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System (JPATS) of the United States Marshals Service. The Senior Budget Analyst will possess analytical skills and be able to process large quantities of information to evaluate costs, benefits, and project outcomes. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must undergo a Background Investigation (BI) Responsibilities : Presents the budget for the organization to management and budget officials Coordinates preparing obligation and expenditure schedules, special studies, and reports Makes recommendations that follow detailed analysis and consideration of program requirements Maintains current information on the status of all operations and maintenance funds Participates in the preparation of budget statements and justifications Distributes funds to operating services Performs budget execution work involving the most challenging fund control activities Reviews, analyzes, revises, and recommends approval, disapproval, or modification of budget requests and justifications Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration Over ten years of experience with budgeting processes for a working capital fund/revolving fund 10 Years of experience preparing budgetary or financial data calls/reports/briefing papers 10 years of experience interfacing with and preparing reports for agency senior leadership Ability to guide and direct junior budgetary staff on work processes and work products Preferred Qualifications : Prior JPATS, USMS, or DOJ experience at the GS-15 level or higher About Mavyin: Mayvin offers our employees an innovative culture, excellent benefits and amenities, an inclusive work environment, ongoing career development, and recognition and rewards to honor hard work.
