POSITION TITLE: Senior Accountant

ADB is seeking a Senior Accountant to serve as a key contributor in the month-end close and financial reporting process. The Senior Accountant will have a broad range of exposure and hands-on involvement across many accounting functions and will lead the monthly close process by preparing accounts and reports. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the desire and ability to identify, recommend and lead improvements, as well as an ALL IN attitude to achieve results.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the monthly close process for multiple companies by preparing journal entries, analysis, and general ledger account reconciliations
Assist with the preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual consolidated financial statements and other financial reports
Maintain and reconcile fixed asset and depreciation schedules
Reconcile inter-company transactions and prepare adjustments and billings as necessary
Review of monthly cash account reconciliations
Manage the company's corporate credit card program to ensure support is collected and transactions are recorded appropriately
Analyze monthly financial results versus budget and trends, research variances, and resolve issues
Complete documentation, schedules and other supporting information for the annual audit and tax returns
Assist with the annual budgeting process
Research and resolve account reconciliation discrepancies and provide suggestions to proactively remedy discrepancies in the future
Contribute to the development of new or current accounting systems, programs, and procedures
Stay current on U.S. GAAP with the responsibility for planning, implementing, gathering data, and reporting to comply with changing requirements
Ability to be challenged, take constructive feedback, and handle a high level of challenging situations in a professional way

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Corporate headquarters is located at: 18777 US Highway 66 Pacific, MO 63069
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, copy/scan, and smartphones.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
5+ years of accounting experience in a similar role required
In depth understanding of GAAP required
Construction accounting and/or public accounting experience preferred
BS in Accounting degree or equivalent experience required
CPA certification and/or master's degree a plus
