Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in medical imaging and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This role requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintain accurate records, and adhere to aseptic techniques. The X-ray Technician will be responsible for performing various medical imaging procedures, including CT, PET scans, and X-rays, in emergency medicine, urgent care, and other clinical settings.

Duties

- Conduct and assist with various medical imaging procedures, including CT, PET scans, and X-rays.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning and immobilization.
- Maintain aseptic technique and ensure all equipment and surfaces are cleaned and sanitized.
- Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Assist radiologists and other healthcare professionals with patient care and imaging procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of patient imaging procedures and results.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to accurately identify patient images.
- Stay up-to-date with new medical imaging technologies and procedures.
- Perform CT and PET scans as required.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a radiologic technology program approved by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
- Current certification as an X-ray Technician, registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Knowledge of medical imaging and anatomy.
- Experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings.
- Proficiency in medical terminology.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to maintain aseptic technique and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
