Tooling Supervisor


We are seeking a dynamic Tooling Supervisor to lead our tool room operations and drive exceptional performance. In this role, you'll ensure efficient tooling operations, minimize costs, and deliver top-notch customer satisfaction.

What you will do:

  • Leadership & Supervision: Oversee and guide Tool Room Technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion.

  • Issue Resolution: Address and prioritize tooling issues, ensuring swift resolution and communication within the department.

  • Maintenance Oversight: Ensure the maintenance of down cavities meets operational standards and handle special tool room projects as needed.

  • System Training: Train team members on the computer system for ordering and receiving parts, ensuring smooth operations.

  • Tool Room Management: Organize and standardize tool room operations, including paperwork and inventory management.

  • Parts & Inventory: Verify and manage the inventory of spare parts, ensuring availability and timely reordering.

  • Preventative Maintenance: Direct shift activities related to preventative maintenance and mold cleaning to maintain optimal performance.

  • Coordination: Develop effective communication channels with the production team to align repair and maintenance schedules, enhancing tool efficiency and longevity.

What you will need:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience with injection mold tooling preferred, but not required.

  • Leadership: 3-5 years of supervisory or lead experience.

  • Safety & Quality: Strong understanding of safety specifications, quality standards, and LEAN principles.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, and Preventative Maintenance software.
