Traumatic Brain Injury Provider (Psychiatrist, Neurologist, or Physiatrist PM&R) - Experience the Matrix Providers Advantage.
Matrix Providers is hiring a Traumatic Brain Injury Provider (Neurological Surgery, Neurology, or Physiatry (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Billings, MT.
This position is a combination of TELEHEALTH & TRAVEL.
Employment Status: Independent Contractor
Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly.
Schedule: Part Time, Telehealth - 2 days a week (Required Travel within MT, and all Region 4 States (AZ, NM, CA, NV, UT, OR, ID, WA, AK, HI), as needed)
Requirement Qualifications:
Must hold an MD/DO license in at least one state in the United States.
Must be board-certified in Neurological Surgery, Neurology, or Physiatry (Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation) or candidate must have completed a 2-year residency with one of these specialties.
Psychiatrists are occasionally considered but must meet the board certification or residency requirements and are subject to approval from the medical director.
Demonstrates compassion and professionalism and a commitment to providing excellent service and care
Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and using EMR and platforms
Skilled in professional communication, critical thinking, and informed-care decision-making
Works independently and can manage time in order to provide a quality service while meeting set deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in clinical settings
Prior VA or C&P experience
Responsibilities:
Read Order request(s) including any remarks, questions, directions, or requests for opinion; thorough review of medical history including service records and previous exams. This includes refuting previous medical opinions from previous examiners

Completes appropriate Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQ) and Medical Opinions (MO) through the Electronic Medical Records System (EMR) during the exam and provides necessary documentation to the VA with a full understanding of the Veteran's claimed contention(s)
Explain the exam process to the veteran and confirm the claimed conditions with the veteran
Complete the chart and submit the exam within 24-48 hours after the exam is completed
Administers and interprets the MOCA test as needed
Flexible schedule allowing exams to be completed in person and potentially telehealth if telehealth exams are requested
