Payroll Specialist

Technology Services provider in Kalispell is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their growing team. This recession proof company is growing so there is ample room for advancement and expanding your skillset.

The Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining cash flow and ensuring timely collection of timesheets and initiating payroll. In this position, you'd be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing invoices, reconciling payments, and addressing any discrepancies. Pay: $24/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and update the general ledger
• Reconcile entries and accounts to ensure accuracy in the accounting system
• Record debits and credits, and maintain the trial balance through ledger reconciliation
• Process payroll and manage relevant payroll tax obligations
• Report financial status and insights to management
• Produce client billing statements and invoices and ensure bills and invoices are paid on time
• Ensure compliance with local laws and requirements related to financial reporting and project completion

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or at least 1 year of experience in bookkeeping and accounting
• Proficiency with QuickBooks is required
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
• Familiar with banking processes and the analysis and reporting of financial data
• A good understanding of spreadsheets and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check and become bonded
