Duties Visits offices and activities throughout the Joint Readiness Training Center to assist operating personnel and management officials as requested or as determined necessary by superiors. Identifies the impact of changes in the regulations, policies and procedures in order to and inform leadership. Serves as subject matter expert and focal point on military personnel HR matters. Provides advice and guidance to the general staff and support personnel regarding nature and scope of information required. Directs Strength Management Branch personnel in the management of routine administrative functions within the Installation. Serves as a senior Lead Major Support Element staff member of a military HR strength management team. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires a SECRET security clearance. This position requires business travel/TDY up to 10% of the time. Current Civilian Employees of the OrganizationIn order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes: planning and organizing work to prevent backlog of personnel actions; developing procedures to implement policies or command guidance regarding military personnel regulations; and monitor organization procedures to evaluate program effectiveness and risk management. OR EDUCATION: I have successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position,. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: I have the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have at least two years of graduate education as described in B, but less than the required three years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
