Nisga'a Tek's work ensures mission assurance and execution for customers and warfighters. Summary: Nisga'a Tek is seeking a Logistics Operations Specialist to provide support at Creech AFB. The Logistics Operations Specialist will work directly with those government employees that will be traveling on government orders worldwide. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Ensure deliveries are completed on time Assist with inventory management Select vendors/suppliers based on the cost and quality of their materials Conduct routine cost-benefit analysis and contribute to continual process improvement Negotiate supply contracts, including prices, delivery timelines, and shipping methods Issue detailed purchase orders to our suppliers Keep customer updated on current status of shipments. Provide and analyze cost information relating to the movement of effects across various contracts and routes. Provide reports and other statistical information regarding shipments/packing inspections. Provide updates and advises management of problems encountered with Vendors and shipments Keep updates on the current status of shipments. Advise customer of permanent storage limitations. Participate as a member of teams studying, planning, and implementing operational aspects of the Department's programs in the transportation field, which may involve research, analysis and identification of problem areas in developing programs and recommendations for a more efficient, effective and economical transportation program. Provide and analyze cost information relating to the movement of effects across various contracts and routes. Answer questions/concerns and research incoming email requests related to auditing, entitlements and general transportation topics. Ensure that claims are addressed and identify negative service provider trends. Monitor and track Vendor shipping performance issues and make recommendations to improved efficiency. Perform integrated logistics support research and analysis, to include program planning and concept development; logistics program management and execution; logistics requirements analyses. Other duties as assigned within the scope of the PWS assignment. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook E-mail business software. Experience working with a wide range of logistics and procurement processes. Knowledge of inventory procedures and accountability. Excellent communication and time management skills. Strong written and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service skills. Ability to multitask. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Strong understanding of the transportation/logistics industry to include Government logistics. Ability to communicate knowledge of logistics industry to a group; and familiarity with use of spreadsheet and statistical graph/chart applications to fulfill report requirements. Minimum Qualifications: Must be a U.S. Citizen Current TS/SCI government clearance At least five years (5) of experience working as a Logistician supporting event, meal, travel, and shipping planning and execution. General warehouse experience. Knowledge of Government procurement systems. DoD Logistician experience Experience with Item Unique Identification (IUID) Registry The salary range for this position is $56,250 - $93,750 annually.
