This role oversees transactional accounting activities including revenue, cost of revenue, accounts payable, procurement, and payroll for a fast-growing mobile esports platform. The successful candidate will manage a small team, implement internal controls, and require extensive experience in operational accounting, auditing, and financial systems management.

Description

• Overseeing all transactional accounting activities, including revenue, cost of revenue, accounts payable, procurement, and payroll.
• Managing a small team while reporting to the Director of Corporate Accounting.
• Implementing and maintaining internal controls for financial processes.
• Preparing monthly journal entries and accruals.
• Managing the step-by-step close process for accounts payable/procurement and payroll.
• Working with external and internal auditors, including knowing when to push back on audit requests.
• Utilizing financial systems like NetSuite or comparable general ledger systems.
• Potentially handling sales and use tax matters, if experienced in this area.

Profile

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience as a manager within an Accounting function, preferably in a mid-cap or larger company.
• At least 7+ years of relevant operational accounting experience across different industries (gaming experience is a plus but not required).
• Minimum 5+ years working with external and/or internal auditors.
• Experience with full-charge ownership/supervision of accounts payable, payroll, share-based compensation, and preparation of monthly journal entries.
• Proficiency in NetSuite or other comparable general ledger systems.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.
• Public accounting experience and/or knowledge of sales and use tax is advantageous.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to handle complex financial processes and implement effective internal controls.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with auditors and team members.

Job Offer

$110,000 -$135,000 Equity bonus and insurance
