Job Summary

The Receptionist/Data Validation Clerk is an exciting role that combines the all-important task of the first friendly face to greet employees and visitors alike upon entry to the CalPortland Executive Office. The ideal candidate for this role is someone that has a "positive can do and will help you attitude and willing to go the extra mile". Duties include receiving, sorting and distributing all outgoing and incoming mail and packages, requisitioning and stocking the executive office kitchen areas with necessary items and regular monitoring to ensure zero stockouts. The candidate will also support the Purchasing Department and team with transacting goods receipts in SAP as per training provided. He/she will be allocating their time between office and purchasing support duties as outlined by his/her supervisor. This position interfaces with all departments including management and executives while maintaining a professional image and providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Sort incoming and outgoing mail and courier bags
  • Route mail and packages to different departments/personnel within the office
  • Requestion and stock kitchen/office supplies periodically to ensure zero stock-outs
  • Ship items through USPS and various other carriers including UPS and FEDEX using their customer portals
  • Perform Goods Receipts and assist Purchasing Staff with data entry during non-peak hours
  • Assist with other duties as needed
Education
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Associates Degree Preferred
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and go the extra mile
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Physical requirements: lift up to 25 lbs., walking up and down stairs; standing and sitting for long periods of time
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred but not required
Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
