Position: Network Engineer (Active Hire, Immediate Fill)
Location: Nellis AFB, NV Clearance: Secret security clearance with Top Secret eligibility
Travel: 5% TTC is currently accepting applications for a Network Engineer. Selected Candidates will work within dynamic leading-edge-technology environments enabling the 805th Combat Training Squadron/Shadow Operations Center - Nellis (ShOC-N) to conduct integration, experimentation, and assessments of emerging technologies and mission procedures to meet warfighter requirements in Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) and the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS), providing the USAF resilient and integrated joint C2 solutions sets. This is an on-site position located at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, NV. This excellent opportunity requires that the ideal candidate to be customer focused, and willing to join a winning team. Candidates may be required to participate in an interview panel with current TTC Inc. employees assigned on task. Responsibilities: Function as the lead Network Engineer for CI/CD and Data pipelines that support the data instrumentation and data driven analysis capability for the 805 CTS.
Maintains computer networks including mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware.
Installs and configures network equipment.
Creates firewalls and updates virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected.
Monitors computer systems to improve network performance for all systems.
Troubleshoots, resolves, and communicates networking issues to other employees and management.
Implements disaster recovery procedures.
Maintains current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices of industry and DoD to offer the best solutions and protection of systems. Designs and implements new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.
Installs, configures and maintains network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.
Creates and maintains professional documentation of network configurations, topologies and equipment utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite to include Visio.
Perspective candidates must be willing to facilitate our technical interview process for new hires to ensure a strong fit for both the position and team culture.
Required Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
DoD 8570 Level II certification required.
Must be proficient with both layer 2 and layer 3 networking concepts, protocols, and technologies and have intimate working knowledge with routing and switching configurations on Cisco IOS and NX-OS equipment.
Must be familiar with network security concepts and best practices to include firewall administration through McAfee Sidewinder and Cisco ASA products, as well as Federal FIPS encryption devices such as TACLANES.
Must have working knowledge of DoD and USAF network policies and regulations in relation to network design and configuration; must have a firm understanding of network design concepts and articulation of those concepts through documentation such as engineering proposals and diagrams.
Must have in-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, routers and printers.
Must have comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF and EIGRP.
Must have the ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.
Must have the ability to design, implement and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and security infrastructure.
Must maintain a Secret security clearance with Top Secret eligibility.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
CCNA with a CCNP highly desired
4 years of network administration/engineering experience within the DoD desired
