Job description

In this role, you will oversee the efficient operation of all machinery, equipment, and facilities within the organization. As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of maintenance operations to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement maintenance policies, procedures, and programs to enhance equipment reliability and availability.
  • Lead and support a maintenance supervisor, offering guidance, training, and assistance as needed.
  • Work with other departments to align maintenance activities with production schedules, minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost reductions through optimized maintenance practices and resource utilization.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies, fostering a culture of safety and best practices in maintenance operations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and procure necessary parts, supplies, and services for maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor equipment performance and reliability metrics, analyze data to detect trends and issues, and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Conduct Lock-out/Tag-out audits.
  • Assist in diagnosing equipment problems and determining necessary parts for repairs.
  • Analyze data to uncover the root causes of unplanned maintenance downtime.
  • Review upcoming work, assess future parts requests, and expedite orders as needed, communicating any adjustments due to parts shortages.
  • Prioritize and generate preventive and corrective maintenance orders based on findings from plant inspections, coordinating with other departments to ensure effective work order backlog management.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, maintenance management, or a related discipline is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing or industrial environment is necessary.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, along with maintenance practices and techniques, is essential.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with the maintenance team, operations team, and vendors.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving abilities are essential.
