In this Electrical Engineer role you will be responsible for designing, developing complex electro-optical systems for defense products. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet stringent performance, reliability, and regulatory standards.

My client is an innovative technology based defense manufacturer, specializing in the development of electro-optical solutions. My client is looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join a growing team and contribute to the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge electronic systems for defense and space applications.

Description

The Electrical Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:

  • Design, test, and develop electrical systems, circuits, and components for defense and space applications, ensuring compliance with military and aerospace standards.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams to integrate electrical components into complex defense and aerospace systems.
  • Utilize simulation and modeling tools to design, analyze, and optimize electrical circuits and systems for optimal performance.
  • Develop test plans and procedures to validate the performance and reliability of electrical systems, including environmental stress testing and qualification for military standards (MIL-STD).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems and components, providing technical support during the manufacturing and deployment phases.
  • Ensure all designs meet regulatory, safety, and industry standards, including MIL-STD-461/810, IPC-A-610, and NASA standards, as applicable.
  • Lead initiatives for process improvements and cost reduction while ensuring product quality and reliability.

Profile

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in product development, preferably in the defense manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuit design, RF systems, power electronics, and embedded systems
  • Experience with tools such as Altium, OrCAD, or similar PCB design software
  • Familiarity with simulation tools such as MATLAB, PSPICE, or ANSYS
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems and provide innovative solutions to electrical design challenges
  • Must be eligible for or currently hold a U.S. security clearance.
