Within Engineering, the successful candidate will perform Software Configuration Management (SCM) tasks including the fundamentals of Configuration Management: identification, change management, status accounting, audit and verification. Under direct supervision and given specific direction, the successful candidate will execute SCM activities per the Configuration Data Management Plan and BAE Systems policies and procedures. The SCM will learn to manage software repositories using designated SCM tools for software version and baseline control, using BAE Systems procedures. They will learn to perform and document required software builds as directed to ensure reproducible software configuration baselines and deliveries. They will gain experience in executing release and change control functions using SCM tools in order to ensure software product integrity. The SCM will assist in generating and maintaining all necessary program software development, release and change records, including status accounting records. They perform SCM Configuration Control Board activities including establishing the agenda, recording approvals/non-approvals, and publishing and maintaining action items lists. The SCM will develop proficiency in the use of the assigned SCM tools, and knowledge of company software configuration management processes and standards. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, this position is to be performed full-time on site,conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills
- US citizen eligible for a DoD security clearance Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Two or more years related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- Active Top Secret clearance
- Experience with basic computer applications, databases, operating systems, and hardware.
- Experience with SCM tools such as Git, Jira, BitBucket, ClearCase and ClearQuest.
- Experience with the performance of moderately complex systems administration tasks for these tools or for PCs. Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $61820 - $105050 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
