Job description

My Client is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their Jaffrey, NH team, focusing on optimizing production processes, ensuring safety compliance, and managing technical projects. This role involves supporting manufacturing operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and adhering to regulatory standards in medical device production.

Client Details

My Client is a prominent OEM manufacturer specializing in medical devices and custom extruded tubing, known for their commitment to quality and innovation. They are expanding their team to support continued growth and maintain high standards in their production processes.

Description

  • Adhere strictly to established Plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all regulatory requirements, including GMPs, EPA, OSHA, and related company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct validations including IQ, OQ, and PQ.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, collaboration on common goals, and efforts to enhance product and service quality to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Exercise sound judgment in decision-making related to assigned tasks.
  • Perform monthly safety audits, maintain a closed-loop system for corrective actions, and develop programs to emphasize safety across the team.
  • Oversee the First Aid Program and serve as a First Responder.
  • Implement corrective and preventative actions as needed.
  • Manage the hazardous communication program with support from the Materials Manager and Documentation Specialist.
  • Conduct safety training, including fire drills, and maintain the OSHA 300 log.
  • Evaluate new equipment for safety and develop corresponding preventive maintenance (PM) programs.
  • Update and maintain the PM System, issue schedules, and develop new PM protocols.
  • Monitor the condition of the facility and grounds, suggesting and implementing improvements as necessary.
  • Maintain and update computer and telephone systems as needed.
  • Perform environmental monitoring of chemicals and provide input on water and air quality as requested by the Quality Manager, ensuring proper positive pressure levels based on weekly readings.
  • Assist manufacturing and finance teams with the standard cost system and lead the annual cost reduction program, chairing related meetings.
  • Develop quotes for development efforts or new products and manage project schedules and progress.
  • Collaborate with outside vendors as needed.
  • Handle other administrative duties as required and maintain supplies and equipment by issuing purchase orders.

Profile

  • Experience in medical device manufacturing is essential.
  • Minimum of seven to ten years in engineering role
  • Proficiency in using, repairing, and maintaining machines and tools.
  • Ability to create and modify CAD drawings is preferred.
  • Strong aptitude for computer systems and applications.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Knowledge of extrusion, blow molding, injection molding, and other medical manufacturing processes is a plus.

Job Offer

  • Base Salary of $90,000 to $100,000
