Our Somersworth, NH location is seeking a Sr Accountant to join our team. Are you ready to shape the future with us? THE POSITION Sr Accountant, ContiTech Thermopol LLC, Somersworth, NH: Prepare, review and manage the budget and rolling forecast of several departments. Provide support on journal entries, invoices, and General Ledger Account Reconciliations for external and intercompany companies for the monthly, quarterly and annual closing. Ensure Capital Investment (Tooling, Equipment and Special Projects) adheres to Domestic General Accepted Accounting Principles or International Financial Reporting Standards Guidelines. Responsible for governance, risk and internal controls compliance of rules and best practices established. Ensure progress and supervision of the plant's Key Performance Indicators and business processes. Provide feedback and input for further development of standards regarding controlling and accounting processes (including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Scrap Materials, Visualization IT tools) to Business Segment, Business Unit or Divisional Functions. Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards and load the information in corporate system. Assist in preparation of complex reports by Plant Manager, Business Segment Group or Functional Leaders. Telecommuting permitted up to 1 day per week. Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate, related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in each of the following: In accounting and using accounting controlling functions within the manufacturing industry; Working with international teams on production topics to monitor accounting and possible deviations in standards in order to maintain or improve financial results from a global view; Using SAP Systems or any International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); Adhering to financial rules, policies and procedures, including IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), specifically during the preparation of financial statements; and Using corporate finance and controlling IT systems (including SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules) and using Excel and PowerBI to prepare and analyze financial statements. Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience analyzing department and business budgets and forecasts and conducting accounts reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.
