Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Woodsville, New Hampshire.

Shift: Nights (7p-7a) Requirements: Successful completion of an accredited RN program Current RN NH License BLS, ACLS, PALS required 2 years experience in the ED Job Summary: Our Emergency
Department (ED) is looking for a skilled hardworking dedicated RN to join our
team! The ED is staffed 24 hours per day, 365 days a year by board-certified
emergency medicine physicians, as well as highly skilled emergency care nursing
staff. We are a Level IV Trauma Center
providing emergency care for patients of all ages, with a broad spectrum of
illnesses and injuries. Must be BLS, ACLS, PALS certified. Job Responsibilities:
As a
registered nurse you will assist in planning, delivery and evaluation of
patient care within scope of practice
Use your knowledge
and skills to provide appropriate care
You will
assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the
appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements
relative to his or her age-specific needs
Quality of
care is provided in an efficient safe manner consistent with policies and
procedures for the department
Demonstrates
performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the
assigned unit and the organization
Resolve
patient care and departmental situations within scope of responsibility
and refer problems beyond that scope to appropriate individuals
Assists with
data collection in research studies being conducted in work area
ED at Cottage Hospital As an established
Level IV Trauma Center, Cottage Hospital's Emergency Department is prepared to
provide trauma care to patients of all ages 24 hours a day. A Level IV trauma designation is awarded to
hospitals in remote areas that demonstrate the ability to provide advanced
trauma life support to patients prior to transfer.
With a level IV designation,
our Emergency Department must demonstrate the ability to resuscitate and
stabilize patients with traumatic injuries such as falls, motor vehicle
accidents and other catastrophic incidents. Trauma Center designation mandates
the establishment of emergency protocols and a formal quality assessment
program. Hospitals are designated as a Level IV trauma center by the American
College of Surgeons; this distinguished classification requires recertification
every three years.

Qualifications / Skills/
Experience:
Successful completion of an accredited RN program
Current RN NH License
One year of RN experience preferred
(willing to train the right person )
Requires sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of
time.
Requires bending, crouching or kneeling. Requires use of hands, keyboarding, and
fine motor skills, lifting up to twenty pounds
Occasionally moving objects up to 100 pounds
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to
provide appropriate care
Must be flexible and cool under pressure
Must be able to balance compassion with their own self-care
Is able to de-escalate difficult situations with verbal
de-escalation techniques and or nonverbal methods
Able to work as a team, able to recognize the scope of the team
members' roles and responsibilities able communicate and collaborate
effectively, collaborate with external team members, such as first responders
Excellent communication ensuring a seamless transfer of care
