Job description

Responsibilities

Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.

Will be reporting to the General Manager.

Monitor inventory levels and track inventory movement to identify potential discrepancies, variances, or issues.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as sales, operations, and finance) to forecast inventory needs and establish inventory targets.

Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials, goods, or products to meet production or customer demand.

Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and favorable contract terms.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other external partners to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.

Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess the accuracy and integrity of inventory records and identify opportunities for improvement.

Utilize inventory management software and systems to track and monitor inventory levels, costs, and performance metrics.

Analyze inventory data and generate reports to provide insights and recommendations to management on inventory control strategies and purchasing decisions.

Continuously evaluate and improve purchasing processes and procedures to streamline operations, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Purchasing or Inventory Control Manager, preferably in a manufacturing, retail, or distribution environment.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in inventory management, purchasing, and supply chain management.

Proficiency in using inventory management software and systems.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Proven ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
