Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Scientist - Bioanalysis to work with a multidisciplinary team of scientists focused on the development, validation, and execution of various bioanalytical assays related to pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD), and immunogenicity testing.
Responsibilities:
Develop various types of ELISA assays (e.g., competitive, sandwich, indirect) tailored to specific applications.
Perform PK sample analysis of large molecules and ASOs using ELISA and MSD.
Perform and interpret cell-based potency assays, including ADCC for drug efficacy testing.
Employ phage display techniques to discover small peptides.
Summarize experimental data into technical reports and present scientific findings to internal teams and external collaborators.
Maintain proper documentation of experimental procedures and results via electronic laboratory notebooks.
Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines for method development and validation.
Potentially manage and train junior scientists or research associates.
The candidate may be asked to help other team members for MS related tasks and be trained with MS related workflow.
Qualifications/Requirements:Master's Degree in Biochemistry, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Analytical Chemistry, or a related discipline with 5+ years of industrial experience in bioanalytical method development.
Hands-on experience with ELISA, MSD, cell-based assays (e.g., ADCC), and immunogenicity testing.
Experience with phage display technology and small peptide discovery is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of PK and PD concepts and experience with PK method validation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work in a collaborative research environment.
High degree of motivation, creativity, and attention to detail.
Technical Requirements:Experience in optimizing assay conditions, including buffer composition, pH, incubation times, and temperatures.
Knowledge of validation protocols to ensure accuracy, precision, sensitivity, specificity, and reproducibility of ELISA methods.
Knowledge of sourcing, storing, and preparing antibodies and other reagents (e.g., enzymes, substrates) for ELISA assays.
Experience with antibody characterization techniques to ensure specificity and affinity.
Candidates with relevant experience in aptamer-based protein affinity techniques and familiarity with SELEX (Systematic Evolution of Ligands by Exponential Enrichment) for screening and optimizing aptamers are highly desirable.
In-depth Understanding of ECL Technology:Ability to design MSD assays for a wide range of applications, such as pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD), immunogenicity, and biomarker detection. Proficiency in selecting appropriate antibodies, antigens, and calibrators for specific assay requirements.
Expertise in optimizing critical parameters such as incubation times, reagent concentrations, and washing steps to maximize assay performance. Experience with troubleshooting and iterative refinement of protocols to improve signal-to-noise ratios and assay reproducibility.
Ability to optimize signal strengths for each analyte within a multiplex assay, ensuring that weaker signals are still detectable without overwhelming stronger signals.
Proficiency in validating MSD assays according to regulatory standards, ensuring the assay's accuracy, precision, sensitivity, specificity, and reproducibility. Familiarity with regulatory guidance (e.g., FDA, EMA) for bioanalytical method validation.
Biomarker Qualification:Experience in qualifying biomarkers in preclinical studies. Understanding how to establish validation parameters for biomarkers with low or variable expression in different biological matrices.
Knowledge of sample stability, storage conditions, and processing to minimize degradation or loss of analytes, particularly for sensitive biomarkers or therapeutic agents like ASOs
