Job description

We are looking for a talented customer-facing Senior Solutions Engineer with strong public cloud, network, and security skills, who is passionate about building and developing relationships with our customers and delivering solutions that will empower their technical teams to grow and sustain their businesses, and ours.

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will be joining a well-established and highly regarded professional services team. Your mission is to develop long term relationships with our customers as a key trusted advisor, help our customers solve complex problems and challenges. As a team member, you will contribute technologically and strategically, sharing your experience and enhancing strengths.

This role is a combination of hands-on post-sales and pre-sales role. It would suit someone who has previous experience in customer facing roles, and is looking for a challenge including architecture and infrastructure implementation.

Responsibilities:

Lead architectural and design meetings with the client sales team and customers to understand requirements and desired outcomes

Work with team members to advance customer projects, designs, or other goals in customer environments

Design customer solutions, map customer requirements, and create target architecture and design documents that help drive the sale from inception to completion

Arrange and lead product demonstrations for customers

Work onsite and remotely with customers to implement solutions

Leverage experience and knowledge to help customers resolve complex problems, remotely or onsite

Identify opportunities to expand customer relationship and associated opportunities for services.

Participate in internal/external events to help promote client

Help customers with their go-live activities, advising on all matters related to projects and solutions.

Documentation of solutions during post deployment process for handover and training

Acquire certifications and skills based on business requirements

Key Skills Required for the Role:

Previous experience in working in customer-facing roles as a pre-sales engineer or solutions engineer/architect

Understand how to convert business requirements into solution designs, demonstrating good judgement, and a pragmatic approach that combines business constraints and engineering realities.

You must demonstrate high levels of proficiency in the following key technologies

Public Cloud such as Azure & AWS

Networking such as Aruba and Cisco

Security solutions such as Fortinet and Palo Alto

Virtualization solutions such as VMware, Linux, and Hyper-V

VDI solutions such as Citrix, Horizon (Omnissa), RDS, and AVD

Storage technologies including block, object, and cloud storage

Worked on the full project life cycle of projects including design, delivery, and documentation

An engineer who has a strong desire to explore and integrate new and emerging technologies

Skills to navigate uncertainty and risks appropriately and ability to escalate when required.

The ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences with good presentation skills and natural confidence with customers.

An entrepreneurial and analytical mindset that enables you to contribute to wider team innovation and improvement projects.

Have a good sense of urgency and know-how to prioritize.

Willingness to juggle multiple customers and opportunities.

Base Salary Range: $(phone number removed)/yr. (based on experience)
