Job description

Seeking a Senior CMDB Architect to design, implement, and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) system for one of our clients. This candidate will work closely with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure the CMDB is fully functional, accurate, and secure. This person will be responsible for implementing CMDB into one of their current databases. This person will also be responsible for configuring CMDB for hardware and software asset management.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Define and document the CMDB architecture, data model, processes, and policies.

Focused on ServiceNow as a platform-s

Design and implement the CMDB solution using industry best practices and standards, such as ITIL

Configure and customize the CMDB application, modules, and workflows in ServiceNow.

Perform data discovery, mapping, reconciliation, and quality assurance of configuration items (CIs) and their relationships.

Manage the CMDB lifecycle, including CI identification, classification, registration, update, audit, and retirement.

Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor and measure the CMDB performance and health.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or incidents related to the CMDB functionality or data quality.

Qualifications:

6-8 years of CMDB Engineer experience

Bachelors Degree in related field and ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect OR ServiceNow Technical Training and Certification

Experience configuring CMDB within ServiceNow

Experience integrating and implementing ServiceNow beginning to end of cycle

Experience configuring CMDB for hardware and software asset management

Strong understanding of ITIL principles and best practices

ITOM & ITSM implementation experience (service mapping, relationship mapping)

Experience driving ServiceNow as a platform and leading it
