Job description
Genesis10 is currently seeking an AI Project Manager with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate routines to support delivery of large programs, such as kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates
Broaden relationships with business and technology leaders across multiple organizations, as well as Compliance and Risk
Establish target outcomes in partnership with stakeholders and leaders
Track success metrics and provides status updates to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to the target outcomes, delivery, performance, risks, issues, and schedule
Collaborate with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements
Manage program financials and supports resource planning
Ensure adherence with Enterprise Change Management standards
Ensure project delivers value & adheres to scope, schedule & budget
Work with business sponsors & stakeholders to articulate expected outcomes, establish metrics for measuring success, and report on team deliverables & generated returns
Create a project plan containing all deliverables, dependencies & risks across all teams engaged in the program
Track & report progress
Ensure project team has the necessary resources required for success
Identify issues / risks that arise and work with relevant parties to resolve issues / mitigate risks to minimize impact
Track change requests, capture and communicate impact
Facilitate communication between delivery teams and business stakeholders
Host periodic status tracking meetings with team & status reporting with stakeholders
Document project status, and produce periodic reports for board, compliance and regulatory update
Enforce client policies, and standards for structuring, executing & reporting on releases and projects
Initiate and drive to completion Permit to Operate
Ensure end-to-end lifecycle compliance of the client's standard change management processes
Produce required materials for risk & regulatory communication
Requirements:
Deep project & budget management experience
Experience as a project manager for cross team software development initiatives (at least $5M/year) working with agile development methodology
Familiarity in latest AI/Client platform capabilities with solid understanding of inter-system dependencies
Proven ability to operate across multiple organizations, disciplines, locations, and time zones
Meticulous & highly organized
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, self-managed with strong sense of ownership and accountability
Collaborative high-integrity team player with a focus on delivery
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audience (business stakeholders, developer & support teams)
Skilled at negotiation, setting expectations and delivering difficult messages effectively
Strong relationship management and networking skills
Ability to handle pressure & conflict
Adaptable to shifting & competing priorities
Skilled at delegating, mentoring and team management
Management & regulatory reporting experience
Proficiency in project management tools e.g. Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence
Desired skills:
Software implementation experience, in particular, multi-tier, micro-services platforms
Familiarity with Bank Change Management processes & tools (CECE, GCP AR, Release Manager, PPRT, etc.)
Project management certification e.g. Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), and Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar
8+ years in similar roles
5+ years managing cross-team initiatives of $5m/year or more
3+ years in the financial industry with exposure to Global Markets (Sales & Trading)
Higher education in IT field or relevant previous work experience
Pay Range: $74.51 - $82.51
