Job description

The client is seeking a Senior Technical Architect(Blue Yonder) with extensive experience in Order Management System (OMS) implementation and strong expertise in BY (Blue Yonder) Order Management.

Summary:

The client is looking for a Senior Technical Architect with significant experience in BY (Blue Yonder) Order Management, Sterling OMS, Springboot, and Microservices. The candidate should be capable of leading projects, validating OMS solutions, and integrating modern technologies like APIs and Microservices. The role also requires hands-on Java development experience and a strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies. Additionally, the client values the ability to collaborate across the enterprise, lead project teams, and drive innovation in the OMS space.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:

OMS Design and Configuration:

10-12+ years of experience in Order Management System (OMS) implementation in the software industry.

Strong hands-on experience with BY (Blue Yonder) Order Management in areas such as:

Design and Configuration

Selling and Fulfillment

Global Inventory Visibility

Reverse Logistics

Sterling OMS, Springboot, and Microservices:

Experience in Sterling OMS, along with Springboot and Microservices architecture, indicating the client is looking for a candidate with deep knowledge of modern OMS solutions and scalable application architectures.

Validation, Testing, and Support:

Involvement in OMS validation and testing, including:

Application support

Scenario-based validation

Regression QA

SIT (System Integration Testing)

Supply Chain and Retail Domain Experience:

4+ years of experience working in the retail/wholesale supply chain domain, which is highly valued.

Strong understanding of how OMS fits within the broader supply chain operations.

Project Delivery and Product Management Leadership:

4+ years of experience leading and managing a project delivery/product management group.

Focus on continuous improvement and productivity initiatives, indicating the need for a strategic thinker with leadership skills.

Development Experience:

3+ years of hands-on development experience using Java for backend work and JavaScript-based frontend packages.

Hands-on experience with bug fixes, builds, code enhancements, and testing as per business requirements.

Strategic and Analytical Thinking:

The ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.

Excellent communication skills (oral and written) to translate technical and analytical concepts to different stakeholders.

Technology Trends and DevOps:

Understanding of modern technology trends like:

APIs

Microservices

Agile

DevOps

CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment)

Collaboration and Teamwork:

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build excellent working relationships across different teams and the enterprise.

Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and drive projects forward independently.

Innovation and Analytical Skills:

A strong analytical mindset to build innovation-led solutions and business models that drive the success of the project.

Additional Skills (Nice-to-Have):

Enterprise-Wide IT Experience:

Experience with enterprise architecture, OMS development, and DevOps engineering at an enterprise-wide level.

Experience in designing and implementing distributed applications.

DevOps and CI/CD Experience:

Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins or Bamboo.

Experience in release management, process coordination, and DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

Containerization and Version Control:

Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is highly desirable.

Experience using version control systems such as Subversion and GIT.

Agile Methodologies:

Experience working in an Agile environment with Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
