Job description
Overview:
The Production Operations Temp will support with onboarding new vendors and overseeing the vendor management process. They will oversee U.S. order creation/maintenance and shipment tracking process as well as production and logistics process for all product placed with international markets from order placement through delivery for Aeropostale and Lucky Brand. They will support the Cross Functional teams on all matters related to outstanding shipments/delivery progress and provide administrative and project management support to the Chief Sourcing Officer. The ideal candidate will proactively anticipate operational issues, identifies solutions, and continuously enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Weekly analysis / reporting of outstanding deliveries / inbound product arrival.
• Manage new vendor onboarding process.
• Maintain vendor matrix for active vendors.
• Facilitate communication between internal cross-functional departments, vendors and international licensing partners regarding production, order creation, shipment tracking and delivery of product.
• Oversee international costing and allocation with all vendors on a seasonal basis.
• Oversee order creation, updating and monitoring status of all PO's for U.S. and international market.
• Understand, adhere to and drive calendar deadlines.
• Able to analyze and report seasonal business to manager and above.
• Hold vendors and international licensing partners accountable to the approved production process, timeline and documented policies.
• Travel may be required, based on business needs.
• Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.
Qualifications:
• 4-5 years experience in a Production role for apparel
• Strong understanding of product development, production, T&A and logistics process
• Strong management and leadership skills
• Systems savvy and computer proficient: MS Office skills with emphasis on Excel
• Knowledge of web based system eFocus, NGC is a plus
• Highly motivated, self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal project management and time management skills
• Detail oriented and analytical skills
• Flexible, organized, team player
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to business needs
• Ability to adapt and operate within various business cultures and practices
• Proficiency in MS Office
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day
• Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day
• Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
• Ability to reach at or below shoulder level
• Ability to carry equipment, move boxes/samples, etc.
