Responsibilities / Position overview:
The Finance Special Projects team takes responsibility for the company's internal project, especially related to financial improvement and value maximization efforts. The Analyst, Special Projects role, in coordination with the Chief Financial Officer and FP&A team, will help drive financially minded projects aimed at financial improvement within the organization and maximize enterprise value.
Key responsibilities include:
Partner with Director of Special Projects to lead and project manager discrete financial center projects aimed atMaximizing the enterprise value
Improving financial performance
Providing business insights and analytics
Improving efficiency across financial and business operations
Provide the financial model, processes, measure etc. needed to realize require financial and non-financial benefits of each project
Partner with business leads and stake holders to influence and drive behaviors in a collaborative and professional manner
Present readout and findings to financial and leadership teams
Help drive other initiatives related, and potential unrelated, to said discreate project
Drive other analytics around (a) potential projects to drive savings or positively influence results, (b) increase efficiency, and (c) ad-hoc analysis and projects
Qualifications:
2-5 years of Accounting/ Finance experience, preferably in business support roles or FP&A.
Experience in midsized professional services organization, preferably in the life science space
Strong Excel, PowerBI and PowerPoint skills
Bachelor's degree in related area required.
Experience working in matrixed environment and within multifunctional teams.
Strong knowledge of financial concepts, financial planning, and analysis
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in using financial software systems and tools, preferable experience with NetSuite.
Exceptional organization, communication, and interpersonal skill.
Strong cultural awareness, adaptability, and confidence
