Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Network Support Engineer: . Must have Microsoft certification qualification - MS 700 or MS 721 . 2-4 years working with Switching/Routing and VoIP technologies . 2+ years working with a Service Provider Network/Data Center environment . Excellent understanding of Hosted PBX service and associated technologies . Excellent knowledge of network protocols, configurations, and operations . Excellent knowledge of industry routing and switching protocols . Excellent knowledge and understanding of VoIP Protocols: SIP, RTP, RTCP . Experience with Cisco, ADTRAN, Fortinet and Ciena hardware . CCNA certification or equivalent networking certification required Requirements of the Network Support Engineer: To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in performing essential job functions, with accommodations available for individuals with disabilities as needed. Minimum Education/Experience: A bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent professional experience. Solid understanding of network protocols, configurations, and operations. Familiarity with help desk processes, procedures, and experience using service desk management tools. Required Technical Skills: 2 to 4 years of experience in Switching/Routing and VoIP technologies. At least 2 years of experience working in a Service Provider Network/Data Center setting. Strong grasp of Hosted PBX services and related technologies. Extensive knowledge of network protocols, configurations, and industry routing and switching protocols. In-depth understanding of VoIP Protocols, including SIP, RTP, and RTCP. Hands-on experience with hardware from Cisco, ADTRAN, Fortinet, and Ciena. CCNA certification or a similar networking credential is required. Proficiency in performing configuration changes and updates to switches and routers, including VLAN setups. Competence in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio) and other back-office tools. Ability to create and update network diagrams. Desired Technical Skills: Experience with Metaswitch Hosted PBX platform. Familiarity with Microsoft Collaboration Communications, including Microsoft Teams Voice, with MS 700 or MS 721 certification. Intermediate knowledge of wireless technologies. Strong understanding of call flows. Experience with Yealink and Polycom phones. Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems. General Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle high-priority or urgent requests in a prompt and professional manner. Maintains professionalism and composure under pressure.
