Job description

The corporate EHS manager works to prevent workplace accidents and promotes health and safety awareness and education to fellow employees across four bakeries and support locations.

My client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality Retail & Foodservice food products.

Description

  1. Create and implement workplace health and safety plans and procedures.
  2. Evaluate health and safety practices and procedures for risk assessment and following legal guidelines.
  3. Develop and conduct safety training across four bakeries.
  4. Partner with leadership at the bakeries to develop a culture and supporting practices of zero accidents.
  5. Lead and train accident investigations to determine root cause and take prevention measures for further incidents.
  6. Manage workers compensation claims for workplace accidents.
  7. Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures.
  8. Monitors compliance with safety procedures and ensures compliance with federal regulations.
  9. Analyzes safety data and trends and develops plans based on the analysis.

Profile

  • BA/BS degree with a minimum of 5 years working in Safety, Health & Environment.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing environment
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
  • Experience/Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations
  • Previous experience working directly with environmental agencies preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Extensive knowledge of safety regulations and policies
