Overview:
Material Handler is required to work as part of a team being responsible for accurately retrieving materials from the warehouse to replenish supermarkets and material bins on the production line.

Responsibilities:
Pull and/or request materials from the warehouse

Replenish supermarkets and material bins for the production lines

Prepare and stage materials for ready to use on the assembly line (i.e. de-carton, etc.)

Comply with various plant safety policies and ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times on the floor

Perform according to 6S workplace organization plan for the area

Perform cycle counts, as requested

Actively follow and participate in continuous improvement activities

Adhere to the job rotation schedule posted in the area

Participate in defining and improving standard work to improve quality products or management

Use of ERP/MRP system to help track all transferred materials

Perform other duties across the plant as needed and directed by management

Qualifications:
Basic reading and math skills are required

GED or high school diploma (preferred)

Able to work in exposure to temperatures according to the season

Proficient computer skills

Forklift experience is required

The ability to take and follow directions accurately

Willingness and flexibility to cross-train throughout entire production department

High attention to detail and self-motivation skills

Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed

Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Prior production/manufacturing experience is a plus

Must be able to lift, push and pull a maximum of 49lbs

Possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately

Must be able to stand throughout the workday

Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus (not required)

Proficient computer skills

High attention to detail and self-motivation skills

ERP/MRP knowledge is required
