Job Description Quality Director will be responsible for maintaining end-to-end Supply Chain operation. Will coordinate with other leaders in the organization to maximize product quality and reliability, minimize costs, increase revenue, and achieve the highest level of service. These responsibilities will assist with improved product realization with the purpose of providing total customer satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Engineering: Provide engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques Resolve quality issues of capability, tolerancing, and materials related issues. Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources. Work with Engineering, Suppliers, and Manufacturing to ensure a smooth transition from concept to prototype to production on materials for new products. Supply Chain Operations: Oversees supplier performance and develop action plans to improve performance. Manage the entire supply chain to reduce variability, increase reliability and on-time delivery. Proactively confers with suppliers to address concerns, deepens relationships and develop quality improving strategies. Overall responsibility of supplier ratings on a quarterly basis and conduct any needed follow-up action. Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, and Production to resolve customer complaints and concerns. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) team by assisting with the identification and evaluation of suppliers. Ensure effective system is in place to immediately quarantine suspect products and make accurate and timely disposition decisions. QMS Duties: Ensures that the company's QMS conforms to customer, ISO9001 and regulatory/customer requirements. Focus on problem prevention, supplier quality control, continuous improvement, data collection and reporting. Supplier Corrective and Preventative Action related to material quality issues. Support domestic and global out-source activities as business dictates. Customer Communicates with customers to gain a complete understanding of quality complaints and drive total customer satisfaction Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Safety and Kaizen events Requirements MS degree (Engineering or STEM) or equivalent. 8+ years of relevant Quality experience A minimum of 5 years management experience in manufacturing environment ISO9001 Quality Management Familiar with IPC and industry specifications. Great communication skills Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Certification preferred Printed Circuit Board manufacturing and assembly experience and high-level understanding of various semiconductor process technologies. Experience in statistical process control, Failure Modes & Effects Analysis, Measurement System Analysis, Process Capability Studies, Corrective & Preventive Action, and Root Cause Analysis Willingness to travel on occasion, to include domestic and other international travel
