Job description


Hampton Ridge Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our administrative team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate patient and organizational records by entering, updating, and managing data into our healthcare systems. This position requires attention to detail, a commitment to confidentiality, and the ability to manage large volumes of information with speed and accuracy.



Key Responsibilities:



Accurately input and update patient information, medical records, and other healthcare-related data into electronic health systems.


Verify the accuracy of data entered by comparing it with source documents and correcting any discrepancies.


Organize and maintain both electronic and paper filing systems, ensuring data is accessible and properly archived.


Perform regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with healthcare regulations.


Generate reports and summaries based on data entries to assist various departments within the facility.


Collaborate with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to streamline data entry processes and improve workflow.


Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive patient information, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.


Assist in other administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and handling routine correspondence as needed.



Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in data entry is a plus.


Proven experience in data entry or a similar administrative role, preferably in a healthcare environment.


Strong typing skills with a high level of accuracy and speed.


Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and electronic health record (EHR) systems.


Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.


Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.


Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.


Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
