BAE Systems is currently seeking creative, innovative problem solvers, specifically those with an embedded software engineering background, who are able to analyze, assess, anticipate, defend, and react to current and future attacks. Candidates should be capable of working in a team environment designing and implementing innovative protection schemes with rapidly evolving technologies used in various applications throughout the company. Our Engineers do a lot of amazing things, but for this role in particular you will:
Design and implement security architectures on complex processors based on requirements from your analysis of adversary threats and proposed countermeasures
Implement and test embedded software according to the guidance provided by the U.S. Government
Work with Security State of the Art (S-SOTA) processors
Provide our customers with sophisticated, defense-in-depth security solutionsBecause of the need for consistent, in -person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full time on site.
This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. Required Education, Experience, & Skills This role involves designing and developing embedded software for security solutions on embedded processors and requires a Bachelor's Degree plus four or more years of work experience.
Additional critical skills include:
Experience working at the Driver, Operating System (O/S) and/or Board Support Package (BSP) level
Defining Embedded Software Architectures
Integrating Software on Complex Processors
Validating and Verifying the delivered solution Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Our team analyzes adversary attacks and proposes hardware, software, and systems engineering countermeasures capable of providing defense-in-depth. We are very interested in candidates with any of the following experience:
Cryptographic algorithm implementation
Configuring security features of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) S-SOTA processors
Embedded software development on complex processors
Applying secure coding practices, securing operating systems, and virtualization
Implementing and configuring security protocols
Model-Based Systems Engineering using Cameo or MagicDraw Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $100680 - $171120 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
