Summary:

The Associate Director, Commercial Training Lead, Oncology will be accountable to lead the strategic planning across the Oncology Franchise and to ultimately develop & implement the Training Program to support all aspects of the commercialized portfolio (product, disease state, reimbursement, access, account selling, skill building). The Associate Director will provide leadership and represent Sales Training on training and sustain learning strategies across the sales and marketing teams. They will also be responsible for developing innovative training solutions to proactively address critical business priorities across the Franchise. Partnership with cross functional teams will be critical to establish the strategy to support the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Development of Franchise Training Strategy

  • Will serve as training point of contact at all Brand Strategy sessions and lead the development of the training plan to support the required Brand Strategy. Will contribute to cross functional teams who develop, design, and implement the franchise and brand strategies. Will lead the proactive assessment for ongoing training needs and competitive landscapes to ensure maximum effectiveness of customer facing teams.

  • Will be required to build and sustain relationships with all franchise business partners to ensure that training is aligned to overall objectives. Will lead discussion and planning to establish training initiative KPIs to ensure that training progresses franchise objectives.

Lead Skill Development to support Franchise initiatives

  • Will lead efforts for Sales Training Department for all projects related to the Oncology Franchise. Projects will include; but is not limited to: Account Selling, Account Management, Reimbursement, Stakeholder Mapping, Selling Skill Enhancements, etc.

  • Coordination of the Sales Training Program with key internal functions will be critical to ensure an effective & compliant program. Will have indirect leadership responsibilities with other Training Managers supporting the franchise to ensure that the tactics that they are delivering on align to the overall strategy of the brand(s).

  • Other functions to partner with include; but are not limited to: Marketing, Medical, Operations, Compliance, & Legal.

Training Support Role

  • Will be required to facilitate classroom training and ensure that all supportive presenters receive appropriate training (i.e. compliance, workshop training, facilitation skills, etc) and prepared to deliver the materials.

  • Will be required to partner with Senior Training Leadership in the identification and selection of vendors to support training priorities. Will be expected to serve as the lead with the vendor & project management requirements for initiative completion. They will lead the search for innovative training solutions to provide continuous improvement opportunities in the learning environment.

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university):

  • Bachelor's Degree required

Experience Qualifications:

  • 7 or More Years overall professional work experience required

  • 4 or More Years of pharmaceuticals experience required

  • 4 or More Years of experience in Oncology Marketplace, Field Sales, and/or Sales Training related experience required

  • Lifting & transporting training materials up to 70 lbs. 10% of Time

  • Ability to travel up to 10% Overnight Travel including field contacts, advisory board and task force meetings, National Meetings, POA meetings and additional training initiatives.
