Job description

We seek a Senior IT Security Architect who can work autonomously to conduct essential architectural analysis and design. This role will involve collaborating with Enterprise Architecture and Technology to offer and recommend effective solutions that address business requirements while managing security risks and countering threats.

Description

  • Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture to ensure effective solution delivery and integrate security into infrastructure and architectural designs.
  • Maintain a high-level understanding of key areas in Information Security Technology and apply this knowledge to strengthen cybersecurity posture across projects.
  • Assess SaaS and IaaS cloud services and virtualization technologies, providing input for enhancing the Cloud Security Framework as needed.
  • Build strong relationships with key functional teams, including IT, Compliance, Operations, and Finance, to support current and future initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry frameworks and regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001/2, NIST CSF) and emerging security threats, evaluating the effectiveness of existing controls for improvement opportunities.
  • Engage with stakeholders and program managers to ensure effective governance of security architecture, maintaining quality in deliverables and addressing escalations as they arise.

Profile

  • Over 5 years of experience in security architecture with a comprehensive understanding of various security domains and risk management life cycles, including ISO 27001 and NIST SP 800-53.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with team members to advance critical security objectives while demonstrating excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong documentation and report-writing capabilities tailored for both technical and business audiences, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in communication.
  • In-depth knowledge of policy frameworks, including the structure of policies, procedures, and guidelines, along with familiarity with firewalls, IPS, DLP, proxies, SIEM, and endpoint protection software.
  • A degree in a technology discipline such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent, complemented by preferred security certifications like CISSP, CISA, CRISC, or GIAC.
  • Working knowledge of various security frameworks and regulations, including ISO 27001/2, SANS Top 20 Critical Security Controls, NIST CSF, and the Cloud Security Alliance CCM.
