Job description

Duties As an SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-12, you will: Advise the USP&FO on installation logistics and transportation status. Exercise extensive knowledge of logistical management programs as the technical authority. Coordinate supply and inventory management actions, location surveys, additions and deletions, transportation actions and documents, funding, and special purchases. Monitor, analyze and recommend corrective action regarding property losses within the state. Make technical judgments concerning the interpretation and implementation of existing supply regulations. Interpret and apply guidelines originating from more than one federal agency or department that pertain to logistics programs and organizations involving joint operations. Responsible for ensuring and maintaining the proper degree of security for items in transit and/or in-transit preparation/staging areas and items reflected on the stock record accounts. Provide solutions to supply problems and questions. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.
