ChristianaCare Primary Care at Woodstown is looking for a Medical Assistant.

ChristianaCare Primary Care at Woodstown is located at 125 East Avenue, Suite C in Woodstown, New Jersey. ChristianaCare Primary Care at Woodstown offers comprehensive medical care for newborns, children, and adults. ChristianaCare Primary Care at Woodstown see 60 to 85 patients weekly.

You will join a fantastic team of three physicians, one nurse practitioner, four registered nurses, two medical assistants and three office assistants.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:30am to 5pm
  • Wednesday from 10:30am to 7pm
  • Friday from 7:30a to 4pm
  • Saturdays from 8a to 12pm, currently rotating everything 7th, always subjected to change.

Duties / Responsibilities:

As a medical assistant you will be involved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for virtual visits, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
