Job description

KeyLogic is seeking a Linux support teach who can work on both classified and unclassified machines in a highly secure area. The work will be entirely onsite. The team is comprised of End User Support Techs doing both Windows and Linux work, System Administrators, Certified Project Managers and Cyber Security personnel. There is potential to learn other areas outside of desktop support for the right candidate. Responsibilities: The selected candidate will provide both classified and unclassified RedHat Linux support to our customer base. Should have a strong customer service ethic and experience with Linux Desktop System Administration. Should have the ability to translate technical terms into layperson terms and present them to audiences outside of the organization.
The selected candidate must be willing to take and pass a polygraph if selected for random testing.
Qualifications: AA in Computer Science or related field plus 4 years of related experience Must be a US Citizenship Must have an Active DOE Q clearance or DOD TS and be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q security clearance with SCI. Required Skills Experience with Linux system administration, preferably RedHat
Understand enterprise network services like DNS, NTP, DHCP, databases, VPN, firewalls, switches, routers, and distributed storage systems
Experience configuring and troubleshooting networking equipment
Ability to learn new IT system technologies
Desired Skills: DoD Top Secret with Reciprocity and an active SCI
Experience with scripting languages
Experience with deploying and administering servers in a high security production environment
Ability to work closely with researchers to identify needs/expectations and articulate action items and responsibilities
An in-depth knowledge of Linux
Have the ability to thrive in a teaming environment
Understanding of Systems Engineering disciplines particularly Requirements Management and Configuration Managemen
An understanding of Cloud Computing such as VMware, Open Stack and KVM/Proxmox
The ability to research and propose technical solutions which satisfy requirements
An in-depth knowledge of network devices like switches, routers, VPNs, and firewall devices
Experience with and the ability to utilize collaboration tools like Wikis, Mattermost, Jira & GitLab
Experience with process improvement activities and full life cycle development processes such as Agile, Lean 6, ISO, CMMi, or ITIL
Experience in working with Project management professionals preferably of large, complex, or interdependent projects
