What you'll do as: Quality Engineer

  • Support the factory effort to reduce field problems and final corrective actions
  • Ensure proper quality planning is executed and provide consistent communication to the other functional groups
  • Identify, communicate, and facilitate root cause analysis and provide timely permanent corrective action for critical and major issues
  • Review and revise manufactured product compliance with documented standards including UL, CSA, ASTM, ANSI, MIL-SPEC, and CE
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical standards
  • Hands on knowledge and experience with ISO 9001:2015

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology, and or equivalent Quality Assurance work experience
  • ISO 9001:2015 Auditor training
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.

Skills Needed:

  • Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Experience exhibiting technical aptitude in some of the following areas: metal fabrication, material analysis, assembly drawings, hardware standards, sewing, CNC programming, and/or manufacturing processes
  • Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with salaried and hourly personnel in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Work experience involving hands on use of quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, DPAR, PPAP, DMAIC, Six Sigma, and 8D Problem Solving
  • Knowledge of basic data analysis techniques. (e.g. pareto charts, histograms, pie and bar charts and control plans)
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Lead auditor experience and training
  • Facilitate internal and 3rd party audits
  • Experience in welding, assembly, and/or other manufacturing processes a plus
  • Hands on product correction
