Job description

NYS Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) is seeking a Software Developer Senior to work with a group of developers to implement the Office of Cannabis (OCM) Online Applications. The candidate will aid in developing an efficient application and approval process for the citizens of New York State who use the NYBE portal to start, run, and grow their business.

Day to Day task include:

Analyze and interpret business rules and workflows for application design

Work with business analysts to understand requirements and design, author, and develop business rules based on requirements using Oracle

Intelligent Advisor formally known as Oracle Policy Automation (OPA).

Debug and test Oracle Intelligent Advisor formally known as Oracle Policy Automation (OPA).

Create new screens in Oracle Intelligent Advisor formally known as Oracle Policy Automation (OPA) including interview creation for new transactions.

Develop new framework functionality for the NYBE Portal.

Providing Application support and being on call as required

Create documentation and share knowledge with team members.

Requested Qualifications:

80 months experience integrating business rules and developing systems using Oracle Intelligent Advisor formally known as Oracle Policy Automation (OPA), including deployment, testing, automation hub, modeling, and debugging

80 months of development experience with .NET; Java and J2EE or related programming experience

80 months of experience working with business analysts understanding requirements

80 months of Web Development experience with HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript

60 months of development experience in Oracle Service Cloud formally known as RightNow version 2012-current including RightNow Query Language, Custom Object Deployment, Workspace/WorkFlow Development, Agent Scripting, Custom Process Model, Business Rules, Add-ins, Widgets, and experience with developing in a Multi-Site Environment.

80 months experience in using Oracle Intelligent Advisor formally known as Oracle Policy Automation (OPA) for developing online transactions for New York Business Express (NYBE) Portal

Work hours and location:

Full time role with engagement length of 24 months

Daily work hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Physical office location: Building 5, 1220 Washington Ave, Albany, NY 12226

Telecommuting options: 50%
