1+ year of experience in the outpatient orthopedic setting preferred but not required
Experience and proficiency in using an electronic medical record (EMR)

Responsibilities Include:
Administration of direct patient care under the supervision of a physical therapist
Observe patients before, during, and after therapy, noting the patient's status and reporting it to a physical therapist
Use devices and equipment, such as walkers, to help patients
Educate patients and family members about what to do after treatment
Submits required documentation in accordance with the policies and procedures of the department.
Participates in quality improvement chart reviews and activities.
Performs related duties, as required.

Required Experience & Qualifications:
Associate's Degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited college, required.
Must be currently certified and registered as Physical Therapy Assistant in New York State
Or must have a valid permit and become certified and registered within one (1) year of employment.
Previous outpatient experience preferred.

Pay: $64,000.00 - $86,000.00 per year
